MEET KATIE DELANEY

Conservative Republican Katie wears multiple hats as a devoted mother, wife, accomplished businesswoman, and passionate community advocate. Over the span of 15 years, she and her husband have nurtured their family of five.

Following her graduation from Rockledge High School, Katie embarked on a journey alongside her husband’s 8-year service in the United States Air Force. Their path led them from Brevard to northern Florida and eventually to England. Katie’s time in England proved to be a transformative phase, highlighting the profound significance of our constitution and rights. In contrast to her experiences there, where basic rights were restricted, she realized the cherished value of freedoms such as self-defense and personal autonomy. Upon returning to the United States and transitioning to civilian life, the couple felt a strong call to return to their roots in Brevard.

Once back Katie established an equestrian business that flourished, serving more than 70 students and employing five staff members. However, the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic brought about a wave of governmental measures that she deemed excessive. Driven by her commitment to her community, Katie made the courageous decision to pause her business and take a stand: She became a consistent presence at school board meetings, vehemently opposing mask and vaccine mandates.

Her resolve took her all the way to Tallahassee, where she independently engaged with numerous legislators, addressing concerns of government overreach in 2020. Since then, Katie’s advocacy for Brevard has shown no sign of slowing. A pivotal force in the election of conservative, America-first candidates in 2022, she dedicated significant time to lobbying in Tallahassee during the 2021 and 2022 legislative sessions. Her advocacy spanned diverse issues including medical freedom, parental rights, school choice, and constitutional carry.

Notably, Katie played an active role in the substantial task of updating the county charter. The past four years have seen her immerse herself in the nuances of local and state governance. She has adeptly navigated the intricacies of sizable budgets, scrutinized contracts and policies, and effectively championed positive change.
